Ground Source Geothermal uses existing heat from the ground (typically 43°F(7°C) - 55°F(12°C) in the colder climates) to heat and cool buildings. It is a relatively passive system the relies primarily on mother nature to replace the energy consumed.
Thermal Energy Exchange and Storage systems convert waste energy to usable energy. They are considered dynamic systems where either hot or cold energy from 14°F (-10°C) to 180°F (80°C). Energy can be injected, extracted and stored simultaneously. It functions as a huge heat exchanger and thermal battery that can store waste energy from to meet daily or seasonal imbalances of heating and cooling demands.
