Sonic drilling is a soil penetration technique that strongly reduces friction on the drill string and drill bit due to liquefaction, inertia effects and a temporary reduction of porosity of the soil. The combination makes penetrating a large range of soils easy for Sonic rigs and tooling.  Sonic drilling does not require chemicals associated with drilling muds for cutting returns.  Sonic coring retrieves the highest level of uncontaminated samples with minimal disturbance yield a superior sample for testing purposes.  Samples are delivered in a sealed plastic bag direct from the core barrel.
